Kylie's 4 Year Old Well Child Visit

Today I took Kylie to the doctor for her 4 year old well child visit. Her doctor was very pleased with her, she has met all of her developmental milestones up to 5 years old! He said there wasn't anything I really need to work on with her since she has met everything she needs to be doing at this point.

She was such a big girl at this appointment. She let them weigh her , which for some reason has been a problem in the past, she would not stand on the scale herself I had to hold her and then weigh myself without her and subtract - don't know what the deal was with that. She let the nurse measure her, which was an issue in the past because it required her to take off her shoes! Then once in the doctors office she sat up on the table all by herself and let the nurse take her blood pressure (she has never had this done before) and check her tempature.

When the doctor came in she did the same thing, sat up on the table all by herself. He looked in her ears, checked her heartbeat, and then had her stand and bend over so her could check her spine. She did everything herself. I sat in the chair and watched everything, totally amazed at how much she has matured in the last year. She answered most of his questions by herself too, which I was really impressed the her doctor made an attempt to talk to her and ask her the questions rather than me. She really liked that too!

She weighs 46.2 pounds putting her in the 97th percentile, this is the first time since she was 4 months old that she hasn't been in the 100th percentile! She gained 6 pounds from last year. She is 40 inches tall putting her in the 50th percentile, she has been in the 50th percentile since she was 4 months old. She has been very consistant. She grew 3 inches from last year!

I knew she had done some stretching out but didn't realize it was that much! All in all it was a good appointment. I found out though that next years appointment won't as much fun since she will have to have 4 shots just to go to kindergarten! That is crazy.
