Lacey's 9 Months old Today!

Can you believe it? Lacey is already three-quarters of a year old today! She is grow soooo fast. Her little personality is really starting to shine. She is such a happy go lucky baby. We love her to pieces.

At nine months old here are the things she can do:

Started drinking out of a cup - doing very well too!
Master crawler, goes anywhere and everywhere and very fast
Pratically runs across the living room pushing her walk behind toy

She is a tough cookie, today she had to have her finger pricked for lead and iron testing and didn't even so much as wimper! She only started to get a little annoyed when the phlebotomist wouldn't let go of her finger! She weighs 20 lbs 15 oz and is 27 1/2 in long. Her doctor said she is doing exactly what she is supposed to be doing and progressing right along.

The pictures above she had taken today along with Kylie who had her 5 year pictures taken too. I'll post them tomorrow. As you can see Lacey (Kylie too - you'll see tomorrow) did such a great job and made it very hard for me to pick which ones to buy!

A Day at the Beach

I wonder if she likes being at the beach?

Searching for seashells, with a smile. How cute!

This is getting serious. Finding seashells is hard to do!

Building sandcastles, a must at the beach!

Cute little beach bum!

Building some sancastles of her own!

Just chillin' at the beach!

Another cute beach bum!

Kylie and Lacey had so much fun at he beach today! Lacey tasted the sand, judging by the look on her face I'm guessing she didn't really appreciate the taste so much. Of course the next time we go I'm sure she'll have to try it again, you know just to remind herself that it really doesn't taste so great. Kylie is already making plans on when we can go back. She said she didn't get to me enough sandcastles or play in the water long enough. My legs however are telling me to never go to the beach again! Clearly I am out of shape, walking in the sand is hard to do.

My beautiful Kylie...she is so easy to take pictures of...she's a natural!

Faces of Lacey

My favorite of the pictures...the dirt eating one of course! I think every kid needs at least one dirt eating picture in their baby book. Although by the looks of it, I think Lacey may end up with quite a few!

Water Baby

As you can see by the pictures above Lacey loves the water! I took these after Kylie's birthday party. It was so hot outside Lacey had been just crawling around in her diaper. I took it off to change her and when I did she took off for the pool and had so much fun in the water I just couldn't resist taking pictures of her. She figured out that if she crawled a little bit and sat down real hard she would slide on the slippery bottom of the pool. It was too funny watching her do this over and over again! She is such a smart baby.

Kylie's Birthday Party

The cake of course!
Birthday Girl - isn't she cute?!

The birthday band!
So many pictures...
Kylie had a great time at her birthday party. The theme was supposed to be Barbie, however I'm not sure you could really tell, and honestly I don't think Kylie or any of the rest of her friends cared either. She had 3 friends and their siblings from school at the party. They played in the pool and the slip n slide and got to beat the tar out of the Barbie pinata. I think that was one of their favorite parts. They all did a great job at taking turns with the pinata, and ultimatly I think it was Jessica who managed to knock it down. It wasn't enough that it was down because the candy didn't spill all over the place they had to keep beating her until the candy fell out, it was actually pretty funny to watch! Kylie had a Dairy Queen ice cream cake that she requested but NEVER TOOK A BITE. I must say the rest of the party goers liked the cake though.

However I have definatley learned the lesson to be careful what you wish for because all I really wanted for Kylie's party was for the weather to be warm since the kids were going to play in the water. Well warm doesn't describe it, more like hot, hot, hot, and humid! I think the temperature ended up being in the mid 90s! Definate water playing weather. Infortunatly Kylie ended up having a mild heat stroke. She ended up with a temperature of 104 after being in house for a hour! I'm sure it must have been higher when she first came in. We were able to get her cooled down and rehydrated but it was quite scary for a while!
Happy Birthday honey, we hope you had a great birthday!

Happy 5th Birthday Kylie!!!!!!

You went from this...

To this.. in what seems like just a couple of minutes! Where has the time gone?! You are 5 today I can hardly belive that my beautiful baby girl is growing up so fast. You are such a blessing in our family. I couldn't imagine my life without you.

You make us laugh every day. And sometimes you get under my skin too! You are witty, sensitive, smart, creative, sometimes demading, dramatic, caring, and funny. You truly love life, you are so caring towards others. You are always very concerned on how everyones feelings, this is something Mommy could stand to learn a thing or two from you. There isn't a day that goes by that you don't tell me you love me, and I LOVE YOU TOO!

You love your sister so much and she ADORES you. Her eyes light up when you walk in to a room. She loves to play with you, or just be near you. You are still working on how to deal with her being so close and into your things, but you are doing great! You are extreamly patient with Lacey and an excellent helper for Mommy. Thank you so much Kylie!

You love caterpillars, butterflys, lightening bugs, and frogs but spiders, bees, and wasps scare the daylights out of you - and me too! You love all animals something I think you got from your Nana :) among other wonderful traits. In many ways you are a lot like her. You adore your grandparents and they adore you too!

You are so smart. You are getting ready for Kindergarten, in fact just two days ago you got your Kindergartent shots. I'm sure you remember, I know I do - my ears are still ringing and your face is still spotted from all of your broken blood vessels! Your doctor said you are doing great! You are where you are supposed to be socially and academically. You can count to 100, spell your first and last name, know your colors, you can write and identify all your letters, talk with clarity - that is a trait you get from Mommy :) and you know most all animals!

You are 42. 5 inches tall, you in the 50th perctile for your height, you are 52 pounds and in the 94th percentile for weight. You are perfect!

Mommy and Daddy love you more than you will ever be able to understand and we are so glad God chose us as your parents. Happy Birthday Sweetheart!

Love, Mommy and Daddy

Animal Planet and Robin Hood Village

The other day when we are on our way home from Kylie's gymnastics lesson Kylie spotted a rabbit eating grass on the side of the road. She gets so excited when she sees them, if shes in our yard and sees them she tries to 'sneak' up on them. According to Nana during their camping trip she was able to get with in 3 feet on a bunny! Anyway after seeing the rabbit and pointing it out for me to see, this was her comment:

Mommy you know when me and Nana waked up in her camper and we looked outside, it was just like Animal Planet there were so many animals!

This comment just made me laugh, then right after that comment came this one as I was getting the mail out of our mailbox:

Look at all those robins Mommy its just like Robin Hood Village there are so many of them!

Ahhh, my daughter always keeping me on my toes wonder what is going to come out of her mouth next!
