Papa's Motorcyle

Look a the motorcycle Mama!

She had so much fun riding with Papa!

Lacey was sleeping when all of the motorcycle action was going on earlier when Kylie got to go for a ride, so she settled for reving it up!  Katie did NOT enjoy the motorcyle AT ALL.

Auntie Samantha's House!

The girls LOVE going over to someone else's house to visit
especially if they've never been to the house before.

They were super excited to be able to go and visit Auntie Samantha and Uncle Ashtons house

because of course that meant that they would be able to play with their cousins!

They REALLY liked playing in the tree 'house'.  The little girls, Zoey and Katie had fun swinging on the swingset.  It was nice to be able to visit and for all the kids to play together, expecially since they don't see each other very often.

Visiting Auntie Karol

The girls were SO exctited when I told them that we were going to visit Auntie Karol
The first words out of both of their mouths were

"Can we ride the horses?!"

Guess who got to ride the horses?

They also love looking all of the other animals on the farm too.  Katie was very intrigued by all of the bird that Auntie Karol had in the house.  I  had a great time visiting too, hopefully it won't be so long before we are able to visit again.

Congratulations Shayla!

The Graduate, my baby sister Shayla.

Congratulations Shayla, I'm so proud of you!

Mom, Shayla and Dad

Grandma Schmidt and Shayla

Here she comes, let the Graduation begin!

The rose ceremony, always VERY emotional for both parent and graduate.

And I think even more emotional since she is the baby :-)

It's official, diploma in hand!

Auntie Shayla with her nices and nephews.  I must say I'm pretty sure she has the cutest nieces and nephews,  ever.

All of us kids!

The whole family!  It's been a long time since we've taken a picture with all of us!

Fancy schmancy graduation cake!

And, of course, I couldn't forget to put a picture of Shayla and Dylan!

The ceremony was very nice, and the day turned out perfect.  I'm so happy the girls and I were able to be there to help her celebrate her day.

Great Grandma Schmidt

During our visit to North Dakota for Auntie Shayla's Graduation the girls and I were lucky enough to get to spend some time with their Great Grandma (my Grandma).

They were so excited to get to see her, especially Kylie since she was the only one who really knew who she was.

Lacey was totally smitten with her, during the few days that Grandma was there it wasn't uncommon to see Lacey sitting in Grandma's lap.

For Katie this was her first time meeting her Great Grandma.  Katie adored her, she also spent a lot of time in Grandma's lap.

I'm so happy the girls got to spend this time with their Great Grandma.  I know she LOVED it too!

North Dakota bound!

Early tomorrow morning the girls and I will head to North Dakota to visit my side of the family and to go to Auntie Shayla's High School Graduation.  It's been a while since we've been home for an extended amount of time.  We will be there a week and a half.  It's a long drive, 12 actual driving hours.  We are hoping to get all the way there in one day, but with a 7, 3, and 1 year old its anyones guess if we will actually be able to do it.  We are so excited to see all of our family.  It should be a fun time!

Mother's Day

How I spent my Mother's Day....

With these 3 little beauties at the park

They NEVER tire of playing at the park.  Kylie's favorite thing is the monkey bars

Lacey really likes the swings

She could play all day if I was willing to stay that long

Katie's favorite thing to do is to run away from me as much as possible!  LOL

And of course she LOVES to swing too!

We also went to Lacey's soccer game and then home to have a nice dinner!

First swim of the season!

Kylie gave the pool a try  after her First Communion party this afternoon and loved it!  She said it was ready for the summer!

Our nephew was visiting so he got to give it a try too.  After a few minutes of aprehension he soon got it in the fun!

My rock star child under water...her favorite thing to do.

And she's back!

First Communion

Our beautiful Kylie celebrated her First Communion today!
It was a beautiful day and a beautiful Mass.
She looked like an angel

All the children brought a carnation in with them and at the end of Mass they brought it up to Mother Mary's statue and placed it at her feet.  It was their gift to her to say 'Thank you for bringing baby Jesus into the world'.

Kylie participated in the Prayer of the Faithful.  Her line was "For all those who have died, especially Greg and Dixie ****.  May they live in the presence of the Lord."  It was so special that she was able to include her grandparents that passed away last year in on her special day.  And as a special bonus I'm not sure that Daddy or Uncle Chris knew they would be mentioned, what a nice surprise to them!

Kylie and Father Kemme, what an awesome pastor. He has been through a lot with our family, he was the officiating pastor for the funeral Masses for both of Greg's parents.  It means a lot to us that he could be here on a much happier occasion.

Kylie's First Communion Banner, she did such a great job!  It was fun to see all of the other kids banners too.  I liked how different that all were, each one had its own personality.

Kylie and her GodMother Auntie Shawna.  I'm so glad Shawna was able to here, and so was Kylie!

Kylie and Mommy

Kylie and her Godparent Uncle Chris and Auntie Charissa.  I'm so happy all of Kylie's GodParents were able to celebrate Kylie's day with her.

Kylie's cake.  It looked wonderful...and tasted pretty good too!

Kylie had to change her dress as soon as she got home (apparently it was itchy).  So she changed into her 'party dress'!

It was a beautiful and and the weather cooperated too!  Thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed her day with her, it meant a lot to all of us.
