Kylie and Nana

My wonderful husband dedicated this video and song to our daughter Kylie who was so deeply hurt from the loss of her Nana (his Mother). Nana will always love you and I will be there to help and love you too. I wont let go!

Kylie and Nana had a very special bond. Kylie shares so many of Nana's personality traits, it is beautiful.

Kylie's First Song

Today Kylie wrote a song for her Nana. We are so proud of her, she wrote the entire song all by herself and then together her and Daddy added the music. It turned out great!

She definitely got her Daddy's genes when it comes to music. She has been struggling with Nana's passing and I personally believe this is an excellent creative outlet for her to express her feelings. Nana would be so proud of her girl :)

Heaven received a beautiful angel today

Today my beautiful mother in law passed away. She was an amazing, beautiful, strong woman. I would not be where I am today without her. She helped me with my career and was a great resource for advice on life. She understood my oldest daughter better that I sometimes could.
My girls loved her beyond words, especially Kylie, Nana's first grandchild. They had a special bond all their own. Kylie is named after her Nana and grandma, and I don't think we could have done it any better. Kylie is in so many ways 'just like Nana'.

I am sad that she will not be around longer to see all 3 grow up. However I know she is watching them from heaven and is the BEST Guardian Angel they could ever have! I am thankful that our youngest daughter, Katie, got to 'meet' her Nana.
I personally believe Nana was waiting for that meeting. I know Greg and I will do our very best to tell each of the girls what a wonderful person Nana was.

She was so full of knowledge. If I could be half the person she was I will be a happy woman. It would have been 17 years in April that I have known her. It seemed like every time I had a question about anything she had some knowledge about it or knew where I could get more information.

I am so blessed to have been able to be loved by her. She never treated me as a 'daughter-in-law' she treated me as a DAUGHTER. I have always said I had the best Mother-In-Law a girl could ask for. Sure we had our share of disagreements over the years, but in the end we always laughed. She had an amazing smile that could light up a dark room. She always tried to look for the best in everyone.

Mama Dixie I love you and miss you. I can't wait to see you again... :)
