A girl needs her beauty sleep

Kylie insisted that she wear her eye mask to bed tonight. She was so tired when she went to bed that she fell asleep almost immediatly. I thought she looked so cute, I had to take a picture!

Da Da can you hear me?!

Lacey just started saying Da Da! It appears as though Lacey is going to follow in her sisters footsteps and start talking early. Kylie is so happy she is saying Da Da because she taught her how to say it! She has been working on getting Lacey to say it for quite a while now, we were both suprised when she said it this morning. This video isn't the greatest for hearing her say it because everytime I turned on the camera she would stop saying it, naturally...you can also her Kylie at the end making the same sounds as Lacey :)

Princess Carrot Face

Lacey has started eating solids. She started eating cereal a couple of week ago and vegetables this week. I started her on Sweet Potatoes on Sunday, then carrots, and now she is eating squash. So far she has liked all of the vegetables hopefully she always does...

Kylie made her the princess crown, I thought that was so cute. And she was eating carrot at the time, hence the name of the photo "Princess Carrot Face"!

Lacey's 5 Months Old

It's hard to believe Lacey is 5 months old already. She is such a smiley, happy baby. She just started eating solid foods. She likes Oatmeal but does NOT like Rice. She tried Sweet Potatoes this past weekend and absolutly loves them, she watches the spoon to make sure I'm getting more for her!

She wants to stand all the time and loves her jumperoo. Her eyes just light up whe she sees Kylie. They have even started developing their own communication since Lacey can't talk...yet. If Kylie has anything to do with is she will be talking as soon as possible. Kylie is really working on her to say DADA which thrills Daddy completely.

She is a perfect addition to our family and we are blessed to have her.

Happy Easter!

This year for easter it was just me and the girls. We had lots of fun. When Kylie got up she was all excited to see if the easter bunny brought her the chocolate bunny she has been patiently waiting for...and guess what he did...
Lacey just wanted to see what was in her basket...

This one would have been my favorite if the basket wasn't covering Lacey's eyes....
After they finished seeing what was in their baskets, we went to church...
And after church they had an easter egg hunt, Kylie is getting to be quite the pro at these now, see?

She found a lot more than this, her basket full plus another bag full (I just forgot to take a picture of it)..
Lacey was taking notes on this easter egg hunting...she's been to two of them now. By the time she can walk she should be a pro too!

And finally we dyed easter eggs, we were going to do this yesterday but Kylie fell asleep at 7:00! I tried to wake her but she wouldn't budge so I decided she must need the sleep and left her alone and she slept until 7:30 this morning!

I Miss My Daddy

Yesterdy were outside waving to Daddy when he was leaving for his next trip starting tomorrow, and as soon as the car was out of sight that is when she said I miss my Daddy in the saddest tone I've ever heard "I miss my Daddy". Now she says this everytime he leaves, and most of the time it is usually within minutes of his leaving. And as I usually tell her I know she misses Daddy and he will be home very soon I looked over to where she was sitting and this is what I saw...

Then today as we were driving in the car listening to some music Daddy had recorded and this is the conversation we had:

"Mommy I miss my Daddy."

"I know you do but he will be home in a few days. "

"I know but Mommy I want him her now."

"Well you still have Mommy here, and were going to go shopping and have some fun right?" (trying to take her mind off missing Daddy)

"You are fun Mommy but I just want my Mommy and Daddy her together"

And then I looked back in the mirror because I could here sobbing and she had BIG crocodile tears going down her cheeks. We were stopping to eat and after we stopped I was still trying to make her feel better but she was just so sad - she almost made me cry! The song that was playing was "Baby Blue" by George Strait and Greg has been singing this to her when she goes to sleep so I don't know if hearing him singing it on the radio made her miss him more than usual - i just don't know...all I do know is she was one sad little girl for a while. : (

Lacey Rolled Over

Yesterday for the first time ever, Lacey rolled over all by herself. She rolled from her belly to her back. I was quite shocked to say the least, because, well I hardly ever put her on her belly. I was suprised at how good she was doing on her belly and then all of the sudden she was on her back, just that fast! Kylie didn't belive she did it by herself so I rolled her back onto her belly and then again she went to her back - of course I didn't have my camera with me. Sooo, I went and got my camera and what do you know, she wouldn't do it again....rrrrr. Anyway here is a cute video of her NOT rolling over - just being cute :)

Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt

Today I took Kylie and Lacey to see the Easter Bunny . This is the first year that Kylie has willingly sat on the Easter Bunny's lap. Usually she is very scared of anyone in costume, if she can't see their face she isn't happy. Lacey of course is too small to care...
We also went Easter Egg hunting at a local church. She did very well with the hunt. I had Lacey in the stroller so I couldn't run with her. I was quite suprised that she went by herself, it is all fenced in so there was no worries she was going anywhere. She had lots of fun, this is the second year that we have went to this church, very lovely church.
