Kylie's riding lessons

Kylie is having so much fun taking her riding lessons.  She starts looking for wad to the next lesson almost as soon as her current lesson is over!

She's come such a long way in just 4 lessons (this is the 4th).  I'm so proud of her!

Shaking it up!

Kylie danced at the football game as a Jr. POM dancer. She had so much fun. She absolutley LOVED it! It's a little hard to see her but she starts in the middle...then moves to the right side of the screen, the first dancer inside of the second row of green shirts. It's so much fun to watch her. I forsee LOTS more dancing in her future :-)

Playing in the Rain

In our area of the woods its been so dry, so the raid was welcomed with OPEN arms.  Kylie couldn't hardly get outside to play in it fast enough!

It's face paint on her face, not mud...although that's what it looks like.  :)

Of course she found the umbrella the NEXT day.  I just love this picture of her, so sweet.

Lacey was looking for all the puddles she could find to ride her bike through.  Unfortunately since it was so dry there were VERY few puddles to be found.

You can never be too careful when your playing in the rain...sometimes bicycle helmets are needed!   Especially when your the youngest sister out there!  LOL

It's a dirty job, but SOMEONE has to bring in the windmill :)

First day of School

Today was the highly anticipated FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!

It's hard to believe this little girl is starting THIRD grade already!  Seems like yesterday I was taking her to her first day of Kindergarten.  I know she will do well, she's had great teachers so far that have prepared her well.

it amazes me how fast the last 8 years have gone by.

It's also hard to believe

Horse Ridin'

Today the big girls had their first horse riding lessons

Nana would have been so proud of them.  They both listened intently to their instructor.

Kylie was a natural, she loved it when she got her horse to trot!  You can see her smile in the picture, it was great!

Lacey totally enjoyed herself too, she was SO excited to be riding a horsey!

She did a great job listening too!  The face she is making is the 'I'm having so much fun, but trying REALLY hard not to smile' face!  LOL

She really thought she was something else when she got to  help lead her horse out of the arena.

They can't wait to go back!

The Cemetary

We happen to live behind a very nice cemetary.  Is that weird to say nice cemetary?  I don't know but it has a very peaceful feeling when you are there.

It's also a GREAT place to go to ride bikes.  Kylie had so much fun because she was able to ride and ride without having to worry about cars.

It was nice for me too to not have to constantly worry about cars and just be able to let her have her space to ride and think :)

Lacey loved it too!

Although after about 15 minutes she said her knees hurt and she rode/walked her bike back to the car and then walked the rest of the time we were at the cemetary.

Katie was totatally mesmorized by this beautiful granite picture of Jesus.  I know she stood there for at least 2-3 minutes still staring at the picture.

She also loved the openness and being able to roam free.

We had a nice time and I'm sure the girls will be asking to go back to ride or walk again.

Katie's First Year in pictures

This video is waaay late, my baby girl just turned 18 months old yesterday!  Time flies for sure.  I still wanted to make this video for her.  I try to do one for each of the girls on their birthdays. I think it will be fun for both us and them to look back at these videos!

Auntie Shawna

Auntie Shawna and Katie enjoyed spending some time together while we were visiting Grandma and Papa's house.

Swimmin'

 Lacey is so brave she loves to just float around the pool, last year she wanted you to hang on to her.  This year she's confident enough to go by herself with her flotation devices on.

 Katie loves the water too!  I got her a baby pool that she could play in but the truth of the matter is she'd much rather be in the big pool!

Yellow Belt

Grandkids Photoshoot

While we were at my parents house we attempted to get the cousins together for a little photoshoot

It's so fun to see them all together!

They each have a 'twin' except for Kylie, she's the oldest and first grandchild.

The youngest grandchildren, Zoey and Katie.  They are both 1 year old and its so much fun to watch them interact with each other.

This is Brooklynn (Brooky) and Lacey.  These two wild girls are 3 years old, Brooky is getting ready to celebrate her 4th birthday in July while Lacey won't be 4 until November.  They LOVE each others company, I wished we lived closer they would be the best of friends!

This is Tristen and Colton.  Tristen is 6 and and Colton will turn 6 in a few days.  They are best friends and look forward to getting together to play!

And Kylie, the oldest grandchild.  She is 7 she will turn 8 in August.  She LOVES to have her picture taken.

I think these photos all turned out so well.  We are going to try to make it a tradition to get at least 1 group photo when we are together.

Papa's Motorcyle

She had so much fun riding with Papa!

Lacey was sleeping when all of the motorcycle action was going on earlier when Kylie got to go for a ride, so she settled for reving it up!  Katie did NOT enjoy the motorcyle AT ALL.

Auntie Samantha's House!

The girls LOVE going over to someone else's house to visit

especially if they've never been to the house before.

They were super excited to be able to go and visit Auntie Samantha and Uncle Ashtons house

because of course that meant that they would be able to play with their cousins!

They REALLY liked playing in the tree 'house'.  The little girls, Zoey and Katie had fun swinging on the swingset.  It was nice to be able to visit and for all the kids to play together, expecially since they don't see each other very often.

Visiting Auntie Karol

The girls were SO exctited when I told them that we were going to visit Auntie Karol

The first words out of both of their mouths were

"Can we ride the horses?!"

Guess who got to ride the horses?

They also love looking all of the other animals on the farm too.  Katie was very intrigued by all of the bird that Auntie Karol had in the house.  I  had a great time visiting too, hopefully it won't be so long before we are able to visit again.
