Trunk or Treat - take 1

Every year our church does a Trunk or Treat on the Sunday before Halloween. This is, in my opinion, the best way for kids to go trick or treating. Matter of fact its the only way Kylie had ever gone trick or treating, she has never gone door to door.

She was very serious about her trick or treating, she got lots of compliments (which of course Mommy loves to hear)

Lacey's is 11 Months old!

I can't believe we are only one month away from our little girl turning one! Where did the time go, seems like she's growing faster than Kylie. Lacey's personality is really starting to shine. She seems to have a great sense of humor and a very strong will. ahem!

Her achievements this month include:

• Mastering walking
• Discovering that she has a will, and can let you know when you've went against it
• Loves all foods, with the exception of cottage cheese
• Loves to play with Kylie
• Says Mama with real intent go get your attention. She's been saying Mama for quite some time but now it is directed at whoever she is trying to 'talk' to
• Waves bye-bye and good night
• Blows kisses...too, too cute

She is a beautiful little girl inside and out and we are so proud to be her parents

Kylie has really shown a great interest in reading. Here she is reading the story all by herself, it is great to see such growth!

Pumpkin Patch

The girls and I went to the Pumpkin Patch this weekend. Kylie had to pick the 'perfect' pumpkin, she picked a LARGE pumpkin for her and a smaller one for Lacey (because she is small, says Kylie).

This is the only picture I got of Kylie and Lacey together where they both are looking at the camera (kind of).

going on the hayride, and playing with her best friend Natalie, whom she had not seen since they both started Kindergarten (a little over a month ago). They were so cute whe both ran to each other and gave each other hugs.

Skate-A-Rama

Today Kylie's school had a skating party. This was Kylie's first time on roller skates. Before we got there she told Daddy that she was "going to skate like Cinderella." Lets just say she tried really hard to make it happen. See for yourself!

The picture quality isn't great but you get the idea of how much fun she had. Lacey tried many times to get on the skating rink wearing her shoes. She wanted to be like the big kids, so cute!
