16 birthday song

Kylie was in a singing mood yesterday. She sang me 3 songs, it was my job to pretend I was the audience and clap for her when she was done. This is the second of the three songs.

Watch for the dancing towards the end of the song....priceless

Dr. Smith

Here is a conversation I had with Kylie today:

"Mommy know why Dr. Smith* is called Dr. Smith?"
(name changed to protect privacy)

"Why?"

"Because she always brings ice packs when you get hurt and that's what Doctors do!"

Dr. Smith is the principal at Kylie's school, and I did't have the heart to tell her is was wrong. I thought she put some great logic into her thought so I let her run with it!

In other school news, Kylie has been doing great in school. Everyday she gives me her status of whether or not she got her name on the board or not or if there were check marks involved. So far since school started I think she has only gotten a check mark once. At the very beginning she was getting her name on the board just about daily, but all last week (week 3) she didn't get her name on the board at all. When she does get her name on the board it is usually because she was talking....hmmm, wonder who she got her love of talking from.... :)

All in all she is doing great and loving school which is all that I was hoping for! Can't wait for parent teacher conferences to hear what her teacher, Ms. Laura* has to say.

10 Months

My baby girl is 10 months old today! Where does the time go? She is fun and enjoyable little girl with a sparkling personality.

At 10 Months here is a list of her accomplishments so far:
She is eating all table food and drinking from a cup. Love to feed herself.
Very close to walking, she take3-4 steps at a time.
She has 4 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth.
Recently discovered she can squeal for no reason or because she isn't getting what she wants...my most favorite new discovery...ha ha
She is such a blessing, we love her so much!

Our Labor Day Weekend

This past Labor day was a lot of fun for us. Myself and the girls went to Nana and Papa's house for the weekend. Here are some pictures of some of the fun we had:

Nana and Lacey spent some time visiting

Lacey also had lots of fun visiting with Papa

She had fun 'mowing' the lawn at the campground

And making funny faces at Mommy (and anyone else who would look) while 'mowing'

Almost fell asleep in Brandon's arms...almost

Had a great conversation with him after she 'woke up'

Kylie on the other hand could get enough of the swimming pool, even though I think the water was about -10 degrees! She didn't seem to care
Patiently waiting to go to the pool

She learned how to run and jump into the pool. See!

The pool at the campground is very nice. It close to Nana's lot and clean. I think if I would have let Kylie she would have spent every minute of every day we were there in the pool.
We had cookouts both Saturday and Sunday. The food was wonderful and it was so nice to be able to visit with everyone.
Daddy suprised us by coming down on Sunday and then we followed him home on Monday.

1st day of Kindergarten!!!

Kylie today is your first day of school, I can hardly believe it! Daddy and Mommy really would like it if you could just stay little forever but of course we know that isn't an option. So instead we are going to be happy for you when you get to each of your milestones and of course today is a huge one! You were so happy this morning to go to school. Daddy, Mommy, and Lacey dropped you off and you had a huge smile on your face when you waved bye to us. We were so proud of you for being so brave even though you didn't know anyone in your class.

Daddy picked you up today, brought you to the park and treated you to ice cream! What a big day you are having. I called you to see how today wentbecause I couldn't wait until I got home to ask you about it. When I asked you how school went your answer was "totally awesome! I totally followed good directions just like you told me too!" I could tell just by talking to you how excited you are and what a good day today has been.

I hope all you days go as good as today went. And if they don't remember Daddy and Mommy are always her for you no matter what.
